Strong from SWEED

The strongest SWEED machine that we have delivered is located at CUMERIO – UMICORE at Olen.
It concerns a model 5703 machine.
3 rotating knives are mounted in the rotor and the machine is capable of shortening several copper wirings in specified lengths at the same time.

99,98% pure copper is used for making amongst others print-circuit boards as used in mobile telephones.

This machine has already been working for 6 years 24/24 hours and sometimes 7 days a week. The first parts, that are not wear parts (such as knives), have been delivered end 2007.
